<p>There have been many &quot;facts&quot; over the years about fitness exercising. People still believe that many of them are real, when in fact they are completely false. Here are 3 very important facts about exercising.</p>

<h4>Myth # 1- The best way to reduce the hips and butt is to perform exercises to isolate the area.</h4>
<p>FALSE &#8211; It is physiologically impossible to spot reduce. You cannot lose in only one area of the body because the body fat comes off all over the body. Typically the first place you tend to gain is the last place you lose. Again, the root to success for these stubborn hips and butt are resistance exercises, cardiovascular exercises, and remaining consistent under the healthy diet you have chosen. You definitely want to perform exercises for stubborn areas, but DO NOT think that the movement will reduce the area. It will work the muscle in that area, but only body fat reduction will make the area smaller.</p>
<h4>Myth # 2- Lifting light weights will make your muscles more define and toned.</h4>
<p>FALSE &#8211; Muscle responds to overload. If you lift heavier weight with sufficient intensity you will create more micro trauma in the muscle. When the muscle recuperates it becomes tighter and stronger. For your upper body you should work in a range of 8 to 12 repetitions per set. For your lower body you can go as far 12 to 15 repetitions. If you surpass these rap ranges you will only improve your muscular endurance but you won&#8217;t achieve any other success.</p>
<h4>Myth # 3- A woman will get muscles as big as a man if she lifts heavier weight.</h4>
<p>FALSE &#8211; This myth never seems to die. A woman has approximately around 1/3 of the testosterone of a man. Unless she is on a chemical enhancing drug, a woman will never achieve the muscular size of a man. However, she can get a degree of muscularity that makes her lean and tight. Many women say: &quot;I don&#8217;t want to look bulky.&quot; That is very legitimate. I don&#8217;t want you to look huge as well but bulky is the combination of fat on the top of muscle. As you reduce the fat on your body, your muscle will start looking lean and tight. For every pound of muscle you gain your body burns 30 to 50 additional calories per day. If you gain 3 pounds of muscle you will burn additional 1000 calories per week, which comes to 4000 calories per month. You should make your body work FOR you not AGAINST you.</p>

<p>The New Year has started and you are now looking at taking a spring break it may be skiing or may be someplace warm, no matter where you are going horror strikes. You just checked your wardrobe and find nothing seems to fit. The build up to the festive season has taken its toll and those few extra toasts at New Years have stayed on your hips.</p>
<p>What to do, you cant afford to go buy a new wardrobe, especially now with the credit crunch looming, and besides, you refuse to give in and buy the next size up. That just is not going to happen not matter what, you are definitely not going to give in to the bulge. But facing another diet is like going to war. You just can not get your head around it.</p>
<p>What is the point of being totally frustrated and unhappy because you are hungry and craving foods that are banned from your enjoyment? You want to indulge but knowing you are not allowed, you end up cheating and sneak comfort foods. You start thinking, &quot;Why not, just this once wont hurt, besides Ill be good later&quot;. This then leads to another and another and before you know it by following this diet you have gained another 10 lbs. What joy, now your clothes really wont fit.</p>
<p>But all is not lost, you can still have your old body back and fit into your wardrobe and it is easier than you think. How you ask? Well its the old saying &quot;you are what you eat&quot;. But you eat healthy so it can not be that, but as healthy as you think you are eating, you could be eating your healthy foods the wrong way.</p>
<p>Thats right there is a right and wrong way to eat food. Your body needs to be nourished but it needs to have the right food in the right amount in order to work correctly. Feeding your body incorrectly will only cause it to slow down, to become sluggish and the weight then piles on, because your body cannot burn it off.</p>
<p>Understanding your body and how it uses the foods you eat is the best way for you to be able to controlling your weight. The key is in the knowing. Knowing how the body works.</p>
<p>Ever wonder why after having say a pasta dinner with garlic bread, you feel lethargic and have trouble concentrating? Or if you go out for lunch then you feel you can not concentrate when you get back to work, you rather go curl up and have a sleep. This is because your body is being fuelled incorrectly.</p>
<p>Eating food should be a pleasure not a chore. Diets leave you feeling cheated or left out because you are not allowing yourself to eat the foods you want, and this leads to a frustrated, unhappy you, which then leads to more weight gain.</p>

<p>Appearance is very important in todays world. Pressure from the media on how women should look is everywhere from movies to magazines. Attempts to lose weight quickly can prove to be difficult for many women. I have outlined some workout routines for women in this article to help guide you in the right direction.</p>

<p>The 1st tip consists of jump roping. Jumping is a way to sweat trigger your body also as running does when going around an oval track or treadmill. Jumping up and down will energize you helping you burn more calories. Jump roping is a full body workout. It engages all the major muscle groups when you jump.</p>
<p>The 2nd tip is aerobics sessions. Women enjoy these because they are the easiest way to loose weight fast. Aerobics consist of kickboxing, and also dancing. These can effectively burn fats everywhere on your body.</p>
<p>The 3rd tip is swimming. Swimming is very popular mainly because it is refreshing and everyone loves to do it. Swimming uses your hips, legs and arms and your head. This a full body workout that is easy on the joints and exciting to do.</p>
<p>The 4th tip is dancing. Latin or jazz dancing to hip music is a total body workout. Dancing is fun especially when you start to groove to your favorite tunes. Dancing along with the music can be a fun experience especially if you know the words to the song. Using karaoke tracks and singing to them while dancing is fun and gives you great exercise too. Dancing burns a lot of fats and the rhythm easily amuses a lot of people.</p>
<p>The 5th tip is boat rowing. Going on boat trips can be a lot of fun, especially if you are rowing the boat yourself, and being able interact with the water. Rowing is also a complete full body workout. It uses all of the arm and abdominal muscles.</p>
<p>To get the best results quickly find something that you will enjoy doing and do it well. Exercise is not supposed to be a burden so make it fun, and make it work for you. Fitness is a journey it doesn&#8217;t have to be hard, and stressful like a lot of people consider it. Working out can be especially tough for women who have busy schedules and don&#8217;t feel like they have the time to workout. But if you find these tips on workout routines for women beneficial then go for it, and have some fun.</p>
